I felt sad when I read that Patrick Swayze has Pancreatic Cancer. His publicist released a statement that Patrick might only have a few weeks to live. Usually, patients who are diagnosed with this kind of cancer have only a couple of months to live. I hope he is the exception. He was diagnosed with the cancer a month ago. His doctor said that he is responding very well to treatment and he is considerably optimistic. The average life expectancy for a newly diagnosed patient is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of victims surviving more than five years.
I first saw Patrick Swayze in the mini-series 'North and South'. I loved him in the movie "Ghost', it's one of the few movies that leaves me teary-eyed no matter how many times I've seen it. He is a great dancer, have you seen 'Dirty Dancing'? He seems to be such a great guy, I have never read any bad story about him. I hope that he will get through this just fine.

ReplyDeleteAy nakakalungkot naman nyan na balita,I loved him in Ghost(sguro more than 10 times napanood) and dirty Dancing too!!!Kaya pala,yong mukha nya,parang humpak masyado,maysakit pala sya.Hope he can recover.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a sad news Barb, I read that the chances of survival is great for this kind of cancer when diagnosed at a very early stage. Hopefully he'll live more years. Yeah I've seen Dirty Dancing a lot of times, and he was a really good dancer. I believe he met his wife in the dance studio where she worked owned by Swayze's mom, Oh its just sad to hear this kind of news to good people.

alam mo, dito mostly, ito ang cancer, kahit na bata pa or adult or matanda na.
last month, bago din namatay yon isang pinay, 40 plus pa siya, 2 kids bata pa, line of 10´s....
namatay dahil nito....sa church namin....
1st diagnose nya, sakit tyan lang daw, hindi niya pinansin, dahil sa kabusyhan....
tapos sumakit na masyado daw hindi na madala sa pain reliever, yon pumunta sa fam. doc nila....pinadala kaagad siya sa spescialista, kasi ang finding yon nga.....
wla, sandali lang....rest in peace....
kaya ano? ang buhay natin, hindi natin alam......

naku nabigla ako, kasi kilala ko siya, at mga 50´s pa lang din siya....
second death man ang name nila.....mean...seconds lang daw namatay....
inataki daw ng puso....daritsohan....
ay, nakatakot nga...pero ganoon na talaga ang buhay....
pinahiram lang sa atin ang buhay natin, "Thy will be done"....
