Car Repairs

Finally, we will have the small dent in my SUV repaired. Some low-life hit the SUV in the grocery parking lot and did not leave any information. It took a long time for dh to get the ball rolling but I have been patient. After this, we need to have the windshield replaced. There was a tiny crack that has now become very long. It is a good thing that insurance will cover the replacement windshield. I cannot imagine how it is going to cost if it is some expensive thing like Ferrari parts.

Check My New Ride

Uh, in my dreams that is. LOL What do you think about this new car? It's called Aptera 2e and is currently in production. They already received 4000 deposits for this car. If you want to get one for yourself, better send in your deposit. The cost is not determined yet but it will be between $25,000 - $40,000. It is an electric car which you can charge from your home outlet (110-volt). It's supposed to run about 100 miles with a full charge.

This is just a prototype. I don't know what the final body will look like. I hope it's going to look like a regular car, not like a car that looks like it came out of a Jetson's movie. LOL It's a great concept, no gas, just electricity. If they will have a regular car body on the same engine, then I'm sure dh will get one. Right now he's driving a Honda Civic Hybrid and he saves $ on gas. So what do you think? Will you get one for yourself if the car looks exactly like this?

Great Prices for Car Parts

I need to order a part for my Pilot. There's a small part in the back of the SUV that broke off. It is some kind of hook where the luggage net connects to. I could get it from the dealer but I know it is going to cost me more. So I googled car parts and found CarPartsWarehouse.com. They have low prices and have thousands of inventory. I also like their free shipping, I need to save money in more ways than one. Check out CarPartsWarehouse.com for your next car part purchase.

Power Steering Rack

My brother-in-law has been restoring cars as a hobby. He likes to work on muscle cars like the Mustang. Of course, this is an expensive undertaking, what with the rising cost of all consumer products more so with car parts. There is an online site that has quality steering box and steering rack at wholesale prices. The public now has access to the highest quality power steering parts that were previously only available to dealers. I remember driving the car of a friend in California and this car has no power steering. Turning the steering wheel takes a lot of effort! We're lucky that new cars already have these built-in. Men and Their Cars

What is this devotion by some men to their cars?  They even take care of the cars better than their girlfriends.  My cousin in California is one of those men.  He has a 1993 GT convertible Ford Mustang that he keeps in tip-top shape.  I always know that he arrived in our house because I can hear the loud sound of the Mustang exhaust coming from the garage.  I asked him about his love affair with the Mustang, why does he like it so much?  He said that it is a great car with a powerful V8 engine. It is considered a 'muscle car' which makes this car attractive to men.   He wouldn't trade it in for a newer model even though he can afford one.  There are many Ford Mustang enthusiasts like him, they own classic cars and are proud of it.  That's why there are still a lot of stores and businesses that cater to Mustang owners.  As for my cousin, he said that he'll keep his Mustang as long as he can.

Find and Purchase Your Next Car

I still remember when I purchased my first car. I did a lot of research the old way by reading car magazine reviews and Consumer Reports. When we purchased our current SUV, we relied on the internet when we did our research. One good website for auto information is http://www.auto123.com/. They have car reviews for all new models and the latest car news in the industry. This website currently has a contest called 'Drive, Rate and Fly.' Basically, you evaluate a car, rate it's features and be entered into a drawing where you can win either a car racing vacation or a vacation down south. If you are interested in buying a used car, you can find used car reviews in this site and also find a dealership near you.

Too Hot! Where's the A/C?

I remember riding in my cousin's car when I was living in California, I almost passed out from the heat. The auto air conditioning was not working properly and we were stuck in traffic for what seemed like forever. When he had it serviced, they said that it needed a new A/C compressor. They gave him a quote and the price for the part was outrageous. Nowadays, anyone can go online and
get auto airconditioning parts for less. One website is http://www.1airconditioning.com/ where they have all the parts for auto air conditioning plus the prices are competitive. They offer free shipping on all orders and all parts comes with a warranty.

Turbocharger for Your Car

My friend's Volkswagen Beetle is a classic. He took good care of that Beetle and it shows. Even though he can afford a newer model, he sticks with his old car. I know that there are a lot of Beetle enthusiasts out there. They trick out their old Beetle with the newest gadget to make it run more efficiently and faster. One thing they do is add a vw turbocharger to the engine. A turbocharger allows you to get more power from a small engine like the VW Beetle. This also works if you have an Audi. If you own a VW or an Audi and are interested in adding a turbocharger to your car engine, the place to go to is http://www.turbochargerpros.com/

Parking Space Too Small? No Problem!

This is the 'Smart Car'. I saw a lot of these cars in Europe especially in Rome where the streets are small and narrow. This is a neat car to have if you live in a place where parking is at a premium, like New York City or San Francisco. You can squeeze in where regular-sized cars cannot. This is just a two-seater car (obviously) and is not a gas-guzzler. I don't know about safety though, I wouldn't want to be in this car in an accident.

Auto Warranty and Emergency Roadside Service

I remember when we were driving to my brother-in-law's house in Albany,NY we hit a deer. The deer was trying to get away from some hunters and crossed the freeway. It all happened so fast, good thing the damage to the car was minimal and everyone in the family was okay. The accident happened more than 100 miles from our home. What saved us from the huge expense of having our car towed back home is the Emergency Roadside Service from our auto club. Having this kind of protection is very useful for car owners. Paragon Motor Club offers this kind of service , they also have affordable extended auto warranty and Tire and Wheel Road Hazard Protection. Their plans include the Emergency Roadside Service, it has no membership fee and you can cancel at any time. For more information, visit www.paragonmotorclub.com

Getting Ready for My Brother

My parents, sister and I are looking forward to my brother's arrival here in the States. Having married early, he had to wait almost 15 years to be able to immigrate in this country. He will be staying with my parents in Orange County. My dad and mom are preparing for his arrival and are very excited. They made a spare room into his bedroom and my dad is looking to trade his old truck for a recent model. He found he can get an trade appraisal for a used dodge truck san diego which is only an hour away from where they live. San Diego Dodge also has an online form you can fill out to get an estimate on used Dodge trucks and cars. They have auto financing services to make it easier for their customers and have very competitive rates. San Diego Dodge's online trade appraisal at www.sddodge.com is very convenient for my dad and everyone who is looking into trading in their automobiles. I hope my dad finds the automobile that is perfect for my brother.
