My First Best Friend

When I was in 1st grade, I became good friends with a girl named Emily. She was in my class and we were seatmates. We continued to be friends the next year in 2nd grade. Then one day she told me that they were moving to another city, somewhere close to Luneta park. She left school and I remember feeling so sad the next couple of weeks. Everytime we would pass by the general area where she said they would move to, I always thought of her. Now that I think of it, she was my very first best friend. Of course her absence was filled little by little with my other friends and as time passed by, I found another best friend. But that didn't mean that I had completely forgotten about her. It had been 36 years but I still remember her face, her hair and the way she talks. I always wonder what had become of her. Yes, I did google her name but didn't get much info. Wouldn't it be great if I did find her? How about you, do you have a friend that you want to meet again?

  1. Haaay! Na-miss ko rin tuloy ang bestfriend ko Sis! Pero di na kami masyadong nagkikita at nagkakausap simula nong pumasok sya sa isang kumplikadong relasyon. Ganon pala talaga yon. Some people are changed by time and circumstances. How I wish I could go back to the old days!

  4. Now that you mentioned it, I thought about a friend in grade school whose face I can still see in my head but just couldn't recall the name, We always played after school. Then I met another friend in 3rd grade and we became bff. We've fallen in and out of friendship since we became business partners, now we're friends again but not as close as before. The moral of the story is not to get into business with friends ever, LOL.

  6. Speaking of first bestfriends, I had one who's up to now, residing in my hometown Manaoag so I'll definitely see her again. She was my best friend since first grade until we graduated in high school. We were separated when we both went to different universities, have our own lives and families. Now that you mentioned it, ayan na excite tuloy akong makita siya ulit.

  11. It is quite sad to think about. I have had so many friends that have come in and out of my life, none ever really stuck around the whole time. Sometimes I think of them, sometimes I even dream about them. It's weird how you can be such good friends and then not know them at all.
