Facials At 9 Years Old?

I saw this piece on Good Morning America where girls as young as nine years old are getting facials, eyebrow and bikini wax, chemical treatments for their hair. My reaction? Exasperated! Why cannot they let these young girls be kids? What are these moms thinking? Am I just being old-fashioned? Maybe so, but I am not ready for my daughter to grow up THAT fast. I still like seeing her play with her Littlest Pet Shop toys or use her jump rope but seeing her getting a facial? Uhhm, maybe in seven more years.
