I'm All for Stimulating the Economy But...

Give me a break...I'm tired of things breaking around here, it's just one after another. This year, we've had to purchase a new vacuum cleaner and then I accidentally dropped the Belgian waffle maker. Of course, we cannot live without that especially now that I found the recipe for the Liege waffles we tried in Belgium. Then today, guess what? The blender gear broke. I had the sliced mangoes, ice cubes, water and sugar in the blender and after I pressed 'on' I heard this weird sound. Uh-oh, that doesn't sound right. Sure enough, when I took the pitcher off, the black gear was shattered. Somehow, the blade was stuck and would not turn. I knew that it's going to be a pain to replace the gear since one needs to open up the main motor part. *sigh* I'll have to check the web for info on this Kitchen Aid blender. It might be cheaper to purchase a new one. I've had this for 8 years now and I never thought it's going to break on me. What's next? I hope the answer to that is nothing although I would like a new patio furniture. Oh well, looking at the bright side of things, I'll get to choose a different color blender this time.

  1. sorry to hear about your kitchen mishap... you're right, i bet the new one's cheaper compare to the cost of repair..

    take care,

  2. In my experience it is always cheaper to get a new one than have it repaired. Yup, get a new color for a change ;-0

  3. Oh my because of the mango that causes, but you have the for 8 years, I think you had to get new one.

  4. due to old age, you have that for 8 years, retireable blender na yan, . Getting new ones is good than have it repaired.

  5. Wow! So many things break? Maybe you want to check your feng shui? Haha! Just kidding!

Btw, pls email me your address so i can mail you the souvenir from Malaysia! : )
