Skywatch Friday #5

Aletsch Glacier
This is the Aletsch Glacier, Europe's largest. It has been
retreating for nearly 150 years. I took this photo from a
restaurant at the Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe) in
the Bernese Alps of south-central Switzerland.
This is Europe's highest-altitude railway station at 11,332 ft.
See Jungfraujoch photos here.

  11. I never quite made it to the Aletch Gletsche, only to the Fierscher and Rhone. The rest of my family photographed it from the Concordia Platz.
For those of us who love the alps, your lovely photo brings back great memories.
