Use Up Your Flexible Spending Account...Fast!

It is that time of the year again, figuring out how much you have in your Flexible Spending Account and trying to find receipts that will hopefully cover the balance. I'm glad CVS has these helpful info on their receipts. Everytime you purchase an item that is FSA eligible, it'll say so in the receipt. I've been saving all CVS receipts just in case it is needed during the end of the year. I wonder if acne pills are covered? Starting a New Life in America

I just learned that a friend arrived in North Carolina last month. She's separated from her husband and is currently looking for employment in that state. I do hope that she finds a job so she can stay here in the US permanently. It would be nice if she gets good benefits, I do not know if North Carolina health insurance is good and affordable. She has until the end of March to get employed, after that, she has to decide if she still wants to stay here or go back to Manila. I wish her good luck.

A Sign of the Times

When I've just gotten comfortable with our health plan, sure enough, we have to change again. We have a different kind of health plan this year although we are still with the same health insurance company. Dh's company had to change it since Cigna's rates went up. We chose one wherein our monthly contribution went down but we have to fork over a part of the payment. I'm still trying to understand how this all works. It's all written in English but why is it that it seems as if it's written in a foreign language? The good thing is that we get to keep the same primary care doctor and we don't need a referral to see a specialist. I wonder if this new plan will cover weight loss pills? LOL
