Wii Error

'Is the Wii dying?" This is what my kids are asking me. They've been getting this Wii error that the disk couldn't be read. I cleaned the disk and made sure that there are no fingerprints. It'll work for a couple of days and then out of the blue, the error shows up again. It's probably time to have it serviced in which case, I hope the service charge is reasonable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We've had the Wii since 2007 and dh said that it probably needs some cleaning inside. I hope he's right. Considering the price of the unit plus the different Wii accessories we bought, it'll be a shame if it turns out to be a major problem.

Order Up! A Cooking Game for Wii

I love to play cooking games since I love cooking. I have cooking games for both Nintendo Wii and Ds. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw this new cooking game for the Nintendo Wii called Order Up! I saw the Order Up! Trailer in YouTube and it is just my kind of game. You play a chef and you start from cooking burgers to more difficult recipes. This is more exciting than the cooking game I play since not only do you have to cook dishes but you also have to manage the restaurant and the assistant chefs. Playing this game using the Wiimote will be fun, what with all the gestures one needs to do while using the various kitchen tools available.

Wii Fit

We gave Amber a Nintendo Wii for Christmas and boy, the whole family loves it. :) It is a wonderful game system. Unlike traditional game boxes, the Nintendo Wii has some games where it is impossible to just sit on the couch while you're playing with it.

My favorite is the Wii Sports, it has different games like golf, baseball, bowling, boxing and tennis which is my favorite. Everytime I play tennis on the Wii, I get a workout. I played real tennis so now even though it is just a video game, I still swing my arms as if I am hitting a real ball. We also have the sport accessory attachment that you can buy to use with the Wii remote. It includes a tennis racket, a golf club, a baseball bat and a sword. My husband plays golf and he enjoys the video golf. It helps him practice his swing. Even the kids are learning the basics of these games and they want to try the real thing. You should see Tyler playing baseball and boxing. :)

Now Nintendo will have a new game aimed at fitness, it's called Wii Fit. The fitness game will come with a weight and motion sensing board called 'Wii Balance Board'. I'm looking forward to getting this, I hope this will help me reach my goal to be healthier this year.
